It was actually very difficult to read the on-screen messages, but if thatвЂ™s my biggest complaint then youвЂ™ve got nothing to worry about with theHunter: Call of the Wild.TheHunter: Call of the Wild is a hunting game set in an open world brimming with a whole host of animals and birds. I guess the controls could have been a little less awkward when it comes to getting around your inventory, and that the on-screen text could have been much larger and I wouldnвЂ™t have minded. I canвЂ™t really say anything negative about The Hunter, in all honesty. That being said, I do believe itвЂ™s running at 30 framer-per-second, so bear that in mind if youвЂ™re вЂњallergicвЂќ to non-60fps shooters. Performance isnвЂ™t a bad area, either, with the game running smoothly throughout. ThereвЂ™s an American map, too, but I found the German one to be a bit more to my visual tastes.

I didnвЂ™t expect much going into it вЂ“ I never do with this simulator games вЂ“ but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a lush, crunchy German wilderness. So the gameplay is tight, that we have established, but what about the game world? Pretty good, actually. ItвЂ™s so far removed from the norm when it comes to the genre, IвЂ™m hesitant to actually call it a first-person shooter. The HunterвЂ™s gameplay is quite unlike anything IвЂ™ve experienced before in a first-person shooter. Aaaaand thatвЂ™s not creepy at allвЂ¦Д®lk got his homie taking artistic pictures for the Instagram likes. I find a well-placed bullet to the heart does the trick quite well. Oh, yeah, I didnвЂ™t mention that, did I? YouвЂ™re scored on your kills, so if you want to be the perfect hunter, you need to kill those innocent creatures in one shot.

You can still catch up to the bum-bleeding animal and finish the poor bugger off with a pistol shot to the skull, but you wonвЂ™t be scored so well. Trust me, itвЂ™s best to wait for the most opportune moment before pulling the trigger, otherwise you may end up shooting the animal in the bum, allowing it to run off. If you ran after the animal (not recommended) then your heart rate will be higher than normal and youвЂ™ll have trouble holding your weapon steady enough to land a decent shot. You need to take into account distance, bullet drop, wind-speed, and even your own heart-rate. This isnвЂ™t as simple as pointing your super-duper-red-dot-enhanced-noob-tube at the flea-ridden creature and firing away. Once youвЂ™ve spent however long it takes to track your nameless victim вЂ“ it took me a good 20 minutes to score my first kill вЂ“ you need to actually shoot the thing dead. Practice your oprhan-making shooting skills at the range.
